UNTITLED
Ignored the evil when it was oceans away
I could’ve believed it was lifetimes away
first signs of spring:
we laugh
smell something happy in the air
bare feet rough
from running outside
we can’t have all that
winter never seems to open its fist
but we only realize now
it’s not winter that took the thrill away
